The Øresundsbridge is not enough

In today's edition of City Malmö Lund and Helsingborgs Dagblad (28 Aug 2008) the traffic researcher Alex Landex at DTU, Denmark is expressing his concerns about the future lacking capacity of The Øresund bridge.

This statement comes after the Danish Traffic Board publishes a rapport about the bridge.

It is about time! You do not have to be rocket scientist to realize that the fairly new connection already has capacity problems. The flow of people commuting across has been increasing exponentially the last couple of years.

Furthermore, the article mentions a proposed Helsingör-Helsingborg tunnel (HH-link) as one of the measures to ease the pressure on the bridge.
